If you are already fit and healthy, working out regularly and eating properly, it can be very upsetting not to able to shed those stubborn areas of fatty cells. But is it really worth putting your health at risk by having a general anesthetic given the risks associated? This is the dilemma a lot of people used to face. Add to that the significant pain, swelling and bleeding associated with traditional liposuction and it is easy to see why some people avoided it.But with smart laser liposuction you get all the benefits of traditional procedure with virtually none of the drawbacks. As the entire process is so much less invasive you don’t need a general anesthetic so that risk out is eliminated. Laser treatment involves heat and this causes a number of positive side effects in liposuction. The amount of blood loss and trauma caused to the surrounding tissue is significantly reduced. The heat from the laser will cauterize the wounds thus reducing bleeding and swelling. This means that your recovery time will be so much faster than using the old version. You will be able to treat any pain with over the counter medications rather than the narcotic pain relief usually required by patients treated with ordinary liposuction. The second benefit of the heat produced by the laser is that it causes a reaction in your body which stimulates the production of collagen. Collagen is the tightening tissue that we all need to keep our skin firm and supple. After having fatty cells removed under the old treatment, skin often became saggy. But due to this production of collagen, the skin will be smoother and usually tauter than before the procedure was done. The extra benefit is that this improvement in your skins texture and appearance continues for the next four to six months. The less obvious attraction of smart laser liposuction is the fact that some procedures will not require the fat cells to be removed by suction. This does depend on the size of the area being treated, the location on your body and the skills of your surgeon. But for some people this has a physiological benefit as they cannot bear to think of a vacuum pump being used on their bodies. A huge advantage with smart laser liposuction is the fact that your risk of developing complications and requiring further surgery is significantly reduced. A tummy tuck usually follows traditional liposuction when used to treat this area as the saggy skin has to be removed. But this isn’t necessary when laser is used. Also under the traditional form of treatment, skin infections were not uncommon whereas they are extremely rare with the newer and improved techniques. We don’t yet know if the doctors who are concerned about the effect of fatty cells released by laser assisted liposuction on the liver are justified. Only time will tell but in the meantime the current advantages of the new treatment over the more traditional surgery are significant enough for most people to opt for smart laser liposuction.Smart lipo, or laser assisted liposuction is fast becoming popular in the field of cosmetic surgery. It has all the benefits of traditional liposuction with much less risk. Learn all the facts before making your decision.

Why Not Combine Body Jet with Slim Lipo for Superior Results?

Body Jet by Eclipse Medical is a new liposuction modality that uses a stream of dilute anesthetic solution under pressure to dislodge fat cells from the surrounding connective tissue. The anesthetic solution is delivered as a spray simultaneously with controlled liposuction to remove the fat almost effortlessly. The Water-Jet Assisted Liposuction technique was developed in order to avoid problems associated with tumescent infiltration used in standard liposuction procedures. Excessive tumescent solution increases tissue swelling obscuring contour deformities and increasing the possibility of lidocaine toxicity. Body-Jet Liposuction gently washes away the fat without injuring structures such as blood vessels and nerves. Body-Jet liposuction is superior to traditional methods because of reduced operative time and less pain. With Body-Jet Liposuction less mechanical pressure is needed to remove the fat and therefore it can be performed under local anesthesia. The result is liposuction with less trauma, bruising and swelling than the traditional method. By leaving the connective tissue intact there is more even contraction of the skin leaving a smoother result. Multiple areas of the body can be treated at the same time, and after the surgery you can feel the smoothed skin, without the pain and bruises found in standard liposuction procedures. The results of the surgery are apparent within days after the procedure instead of months later as with traditional liposuction.

If there is too much skin laxity then Slim Lipo laser liposction is used to tighten the skin as a separate procedure at the time of liposuction or at a later date. By using the combination of Body-Jet and Slim Lipo the results are outstanding.

The Body Jet machine also allows for atraumatic collection of fat that is ideal for fat transfer. Histologic studies reveal a very high percentage of viable fat cells. Fat transfer is the best material to use as a volume filler for facial enhancement in order to fill in the naso-labial folds, cheeks, lips and other facial areas. Fat transfer to the buttocks can also be performed as in the “Brazilian Butt Lift”. In Europe fat transfer is the preferred method for breast augmentation. In the USA fat transfer to the breasts is still considered under investigation and is the subject of ongoing research.

Body Contouring: One Path To Beauty After Weight Loss

With the rising popularity of the gastric bypass procedure in order to address obesity (from its milder forms to morbid obesity), plastic surgeons are now intently focusing as to how to beautify a person after all those pounds are gone from the body.

Extreme weight loss often involves the massive displacement of fat tissue from just beneath the human skin. Rapid fat loss means that loose, extra skin is left where the fat used to be.

This poses many problems for patients who would like to look good after the weight loss, but can’t because of the loose skin around their arms, their abdominal region and their legs.

For all its elasticity, the human skin cannot completely cope with expansion (extra weight) and sudden contraction (loss of weight). The general shape that we want the skin to take is no longer found.

The answer to this conundrum is of course constructive aesthetic surgery. Plastic surgeons are now evaluating new routes into improving the cosmetic appearance of the human skin after massive weight loss.

New procedures

Body contouring procedures are now being altered to make sure that unsightly “plateaus” would be reduced. This can bee done by re-structuring the incisions on problem areas such as the abdomen. The alterations to the more traditional aesthetic medical procedures have done wonders for those with medium body build, as well as the extra large body build.

Doctors from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons stated that the new shaping and contouring procedures now anticipate more the amount of tissue being displaced and the general movement of the skin after the displacement of the tissue.

A small study by the same organization in the United State yielded positive results: out of the 40 individual test subjects, 38 rated the final outcome of the new contouring techniques as “very good”.

This development in body contouring gives hope to those who have been suffering from loose skin for quite a long time now, since the new shaping procedures have the potential of eliminating completely those unsightly flaps.

Altering the tradition

Dennis Hurwitz, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons is emphasizing the need for doctors elsewhere to adjust the procedures repeatedly, based on the unique needs of the patients.

For example, if the body type is classified as “large”, then more liposuction should be implemented before incisions are made to remove the fatty tissue.

More liposuction, according to Hurwitz, will allow the human skin to literally “snap back into place”, since the displacement was done chemically, and the fat was removed in a liquid form, opposed to the complete removal of tissue.

Body volume and external appearance always count, and thus, the new body contouring procedures should always aim for a more robust, natural-looking effect on the body. Other recommendations include more use of the traditional scalpel to minimize the over-all damage to the skin tissue itself.

The reason for this recommendation is that for the longest time, plastic surgeons preferred electrocautery because it requires less effort, and cauterizes blood vessel as it cuts through human tissue. However, since electrocautery still uses electricity, it damages the skin tissue as it passes through.

Risks and Limitation of Body Lift Procedures

Body lift procedures allow patients to obtain a tighter, firmer body by removing and lifting areas of excess skin and fat. As with any medical procedure, however, there are risks and limitations of body lift procedures of which all patients should be fully aware. While many of these risks are relatively rare, it is important to understand all possible eventualities and to discuss your concerns with your doctor in order to determine if a particular procedure is right for your needs and goals.

Possible Risks and Complications

Potential risks of body lift procedures include infection, blood clots and bleeding. Infections are treatable with the use of antibiotics, while blood clots and bleeding will require further medical attention in order to ameliorate the problem. Always discuss these concerns with your doctor before your surgery to determine if you have other risk factors that might make these possible complications more likely, such as smoking and family history of these conditions.

In rare cases, the surgical area may heal slowly or poorly. This problem can lead to unwanted scarring, so additional surgery may be needed to correct the problem. You can minimize the risk posed by this potential complication by following the after-care directions provided by your surgeon.

Reducing Potential Risks

While there will always be risks for any type of surgery, there are steps that you can take to reduce the potential for complications. One of the best approaches is to always thoroughly assess whether you are truly a good candidate for body lift surgery. The best candidates for this type of surgery are people who are in good health who have maintained a stable weight for a year or longer. Body lift procedures are not intended for weight loss, and overweight patient may often be directed to lose weight before having the procedure.

Another way to reduce risks is to always follow your doctor’s order for what you should do both before and after your surgery. Patients are typically advised to begin walking as soon as possible after surgery to reduce the risks of blood clots and help the healing process. Depending on the type of surgery and the extent of the procedure, you may also need to wear compression garments to help the area heal properly. In most cases, you will be able to return to most daily activities in two to three weeks.

Limitations of Body Lift Procedures

Being aware of the risks is only part of the process. It is also essential fully understand the limitations of body lift procedures. In order to be satisfied with the results of your surgery, you need to have realistic expectations for what a body lift can achieve. Remember that body lift surgery is no substitute for weight loss. In fact, you will achieve the best results if you follow a healthy lifestyle and have a stable body weight. Additionally, it is also important to remember that a body lift is not a way to instantaneously transform yourself. By having achievable goals and a good outlook on your possible results, you likely feel more satisfied with the end results of your surgery.

Cosmetic surgery can be a great way to improve your appearance and increase your self-confidence, but it is important to understand all aspects of a cosmetic procedure before making a decision. Consider everything from the potential risks to cosmetic surgery cost and discuss these concerns with a qualified surgeon. Careful research and realistic expectations can help you make the most of your cosmetic plastic surgery experience whether it?s laser hair removal or cosmetic laser surgery .

Diet and exercise may be some of the ways to trim down excess fat but these options may not necessarily be the best. These options sure help you cut down on weight but they do not completely remove stubborn fat in certain areas. Body contouring surgery can help you with that.

Body contouring procedures involve dissolving of fat and tightening of skin. These treatments help reshape any part of the body you desire.

Look into these procedures to help you decide what you want to undergo:

Mesotherapy- injection of different cocktails to dissolve fat Thermage- uses radiofrequency to tighten skin Liposonix- uses high intensity ultrasound to destroy cellulites Liposuction- uses incision of certain areas to remove stubborn fat Tummy tuck- also known as abdominoplasty, combines excess skin removal from the midsection with surgical tightening of abdominal muscles. Body implants- used to add shape and volume to certain body parts to make them proportional to the rest of the body. The most common body parts that are implanted are the biceps, calves, and buttocks. Body fat transfers- transferring of fat from one area to another to round out edges of small body features that are not proportional. Panniculectomy- removal of excess fat and skin in the abdomen that reaches the belly button area extending to the back. Abdominal etching- tightens skin and is a good way to sculpt the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks. Bra-line lift- removal of unsightly back fat while hiding the scare under the bra-line to banish sagging skin typically caused by aging and weight loss. Buttock lift- removal of excess skin and fat from the buttocks Thigh lift- – removal of excess skin and fat from the thighs Lower body lift- combination of buttock lift, outer thigh lift, and tummy tuck Upper arm lift- – removal of loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm

These procedures help beam fat away. They are typically designed to sculpt certain body parts to help you achieve the body shape you are dreaming of.

Effective Solutions for Body Fat Removal

Excess body fat is a major cause of concern for countless men and women who wish for an attractive body contour. Accordingly most individuals conscious of their appearance are always on the lookout for effective solutions for body fat removal. In the fast moving world where time is of the essence, it is futile to rely on weight loss programs that demand much time and attention.

Many opt for liposuction as it is fast, effective, safe and provide permanent results. Liposuction procedures ranging from traditional, to laser assisted, power assisted and ultrasonic have demonstrated excellence in body contouring. Of course, the man behind the machine matters too. A skilled and experienced plastic surgeon can help materialize the dreams of patients who yearn for an impressive body.

The above mentioned forms of liposuction differ in the manner in which they are performed but the principle is common. Excess fat in selected regions of the body such as the abdomen, thighs, flanks and buttocks can be targeted and extracted out of the body. The sophisticated devices are also capable of skin tightening so that seamless looks are achieved. In normal conditions, a single sitting is all that it takes for the individual to achieve lifelong results. Most patients experience minimal pain and are able to resume work in a few days’ time.

Some patients would benefit from traditional liposuction used alongside any one of the minimally invasive devices. A reputable plastic surgeon would advise you if that option can be considered.

All these solutions for body fat removal have been approved by the FDA and deemed highly effective. There are limitations when one needs to get multiple areas treated. Plastic surgeons would always take the safety of the patient into consideration and decide how much fat is to be removed so that optimal body contouring is achieved without subjecting the patient to any form of risk or complication.

Liposuction is the perfect way to get rid of excess fat cells. One can choose from traditional, power assisted, laser assisted, or ultrasonic liposuction techniques – all of which are highly effective solutions for body fat removal.

The Risks and Benefits Associated With Body Contouring Treatments

Every year, more than 50 million Americans try a new diet. According to estimates, nearly two-thirds of all U.S. adults are overweight. Fortunately, many people are able to win the battle of the bulge and lose excess pounds through diet, exercise or gastric bypass surgery. While this is great for health and self-confidence, many people are then left with loose, sagging skin. What can people do to remove this excess skin? Body contouring treatments are one of the most popular solutions, providing a safe and effective solution for many people.

However, no plastic surgery is without risks. Before you decide if body contouring is right for you, consider both the potential risks and benefits of this treatment. By understanding how the surgery works, the results you can expect and the possible side effects, you’ll be better prepared to make the decision that is right for your health, lifestyle and needs.

The Advantages of Body Contouring Treatments

The biggest benefit of having body contouring surgery is the ability to regain a firmer, more youthful appearance. Individuals who have experienced significant weight loss, people entering middle age and women who have had children can especially benefit from body contouring treatments. By eliminating excessive skin and fat, surgeons can help patients improve their appearance and body confidence.

Body contouring can be performed on many different areas of the body, which gives patients the freedom to choose which option is right for their needs and goals. The abdomen, arms, buttocks, lower body and breasts are all areas where body contouring can be used to sculpt, shape, lift and tighten the body. Some patients choose a combination of two or more procedures, while others opt for a total body lift.

Potential Risks of Body Contouring Treatments

In addition to considering what you may gain by having body contouring surgery, you should also consider the possible risks and complications. While this procedure is regarded as safe by doctors, all surgery carries some risk. Some of the possible complications associated with body contouring procedures include blood clots, excessive bleeding and infection. Depending on where or how the surgery is performed, patients may also experience scarring. This scarring often fades over a period of months, but some people may require additional surgery to minimize scarring and remove scar tissue.

Any type of cosmetic plastic surgery comes with both benefits and possible risks. Before you decide if body contouring is right for you, spend some time carefully reviewing your goals. Always keep realistic expectations in order to get the most out of your plastic surgery experience. Spend some time discussing your options with your doctor in order to determine if you are a candidate.

Your surgeon may recommend another procedure such as facial plastic surgery. Remember that the key to a successful plastic surgery is to be physically and psychologically prepared. By understanding the risks and benefits of cosmetic plastic surgery, you?ll be better able to determine if this is right for you.
